CAC Verification
Increase the Value of
Your Coins
Not all graded coins are equal. CAC verification identifies the very best examples within each grade — and can dramatically increase what your coins are worth on the market.
What Is CAC — and Why Does It Matter?
For most coins, the grade assigned by PCGS or NGC largely determines value. But not all coins of the same grade should be considered equal. Extra "eye appeal" is a major factor that many collectors overlook — which is why two coins of identical grade can attract vastly different prices.
CAC (Certified Acceptance Corporation) holds coins to a higher standard, verifying previously graded coins that represent the finest examples within their grade. A coin that receives a CAC sticker is considered the very best of its grade — and today's serious buyers know it.
Professional Coin Grading Service
One of the two leading third-party coin grading services. A PCGS grade is widely recognized and largely determines a coin's baseline market value.
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation
The other leading grading service. Like PCGS, an NGC grade sets a coin's starting point in the market.
Certified Acceptance Corporation
A second-tier verification layer that identifies the best coins within an already-graded population. A CAC sticker is a signal to the market that this coin is exceptional for its grade.

What CAC Verification Is Worth
The price difference between a standard graded coin and its CAC-verified equivalent can be substantial — in some cases, tens of thousands of dollars. Here are two real examples:

Even a few verified coins in your collection could mean tens of thousands of additional dollars.
What to Expect from the CAC Process
Not every coin you own will receive a CAC sticker — and that's by design. CAC only verifies coins that are truly the finest within their grade. A coin that barely makes its grade will not be verified.
That said, even if only a handful of the rare coins you own qualify, those few verifications alone could represent thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars of additional value in your portfolio.
Coins like the $20 St. Gaudens in MS-65 or MS-66 consistently bring significantly more money once CAC-verified. Every grade level has examples where the right coin with the right sticker changes everything.
